NEW YORK, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Custom Browser Inc. (http://www.3mmasks.com/), a leading distributor of the NIOSH approved N95 face masks has reported a continued and unusual spike in sales in recent weeks. The firm which usually sells a few cases a month of the popular 3M 9211, 3M 9210, 3M 8233 N100, 3M 1860, 3M 1870 and 3M 8210 masks has now reported it impossible to keep up with demand for the mask sales domestically in the United Sates.
"We are getting more orders of 1000 masks and more per customer and these customers are family people, not our regular commercial buyers," said Howard Ryan, proprietor of 3MMasks.com.
"In response to the avian bird flu we procured an additional 1,000,000 3M N95 and N100 masks of all to try and satisfy the demand. That supply was quickly gobbled up by both domestic and international buyers. Additionally, the surgical 3M 1860 mask has experienced a shortage domestically in the United States. We are down to 300 cases of 3M's 1860's and 500 cases of 9211's. We hope to be able to keep these masks available to the public for a few months at reasonable prices but we are concerned as our stock quantum is in jeopardy," added Ryan.
