THE EU will give Pounds 20million to help Asia fight bird flu, health commissioner Markos Kyprianou said today. Mr Kyprianou arrived in Vietnam yesterday on a 10-day tour of South-East Asia to discuss the deadly H5N1 strain of the flu which has recently been discovered in Turkey, Romania and Russia. The disease has killed or forced the cull of 100 million birds in Asia and led to 62 human deaths.
